The Portuguese Association of support to women with breast cancer is a private institution of social solidarity since June 1999, non-profit, in the health and social solidarity. It was established in 1998 by a group of volunteers professionally linked to the problem of mammary and gynecological pathology. It has a team of 46 volunteers, primarily from IPOLFG providing specialized healthcare in their aspects: medical consultation general surgery, reconstruction, gynecology, physical therapy and internal medicine, nursing, psychology, self-help and nutrition consultation. “Sorrir na Educação” is the name of a project that reflects our concern and need for social intervention. Organized by Clinical Education – institution specializing in learning disabilities headed by Dr. Renato Paiva -, the project came in the form of a gala that gathered in São Luiz Theatre in Lisbon on 23rd November 2010 familiar faces from the worlds of music, dance, TV, sports, theater and comedy. The Cultural Association Gato que Ladra consists of a group of mostly belonging to the creative generation between 1974 and 1978 decided to contribute markedly to the Portuguese art scene, not only in its territory but abroad. A group of creators who believes strongly in the importance of artistic creative training and artistic awareness of the surrounding society trying to demonstrate to their activities that art is a necessary good and that can serve the society at large, thus making it a product investing. Since 2004 they have traced a path with the staging of original texts and creating new dramaturgy of contemporary authors and training with a project that we support the theater school for children called Crescer Teatrando.
